Receptionists don’t just answer the telephone and make appointments.
Their tasks are many and varied and entail much administration and documentation. They have received extensive training and many of our receptionists hold diplomas and certificates relating to their skills. The receptionists also deal with test results on behalf of the GPs.
Our secretaries type outgoing correspondence to hospitals. We have a separate computer services team who input data into computerized patient records maintaining total confidentiality.
They also assist in the co-ordination of flu clinics and other health promotion appointments.
Our two telephonists answer the switchboard and pass you onto the service you require. The practice has seven telephone lines which are manned from 08:30 to 18.00 Monday to Friday. At peak times these lines are very busy so please try to be patient.
