Did not attend policy
Unfortunately on average each month over 250 patients fail to attend for their appointment at the surgery. On top of this are dozens of patients who do not turn up for hospital appointments and or those with community services such as the physio or midwife.
This not only wastes a large amount of GP and Nurse time, but also prevents other patients from booking those appointments and from being seen. All practices are experiencing an increasing demand for services so each appointment is precious!
Non-attendances are now strictly monitored and if recurrent, the individual will receive a written reminder. Frequent and persistent missed appointments may result in the patient being removed from our list.
If you are unable to attend for an appointment please let us know so that it can be offered to another patient.
