Appointments to see your GP are bookable via online services, by calling in to the surgery or by ringing the Practice. All appointments are face to face with your nominated GP (the practice runs a strict personalized list system). If you would rather just have a telephone consultation with your doctor then this is available also. All our appointments are bookable up to 12 weeks in advance with a number of slots kept for “on the day emergencies”. Should you need a same day emergency appointment then please ring the surgery at 08.30am – lines will be busy but you will get answered as soon as possible.
When the surgery is closed
If you ring the Health Centre on 0191 253 1113 you will be advised of the out of hours/on call arrangements.
The Out of Hours Service is contactable by telephoning 111.

You can now book an appointment to see a GP, nurse or healthcare assistant in the evening or weekend.
The appointments are available at local “hubs” and they are provided by local doctors and nurses who will have access to your medical notes. These appointments are all pre-bookable so if you need an appointment in the evening or weekend because you are busy during the week please contact us and we will try and book you into a slot. Extended hours are no longer held at our surgery but at local practices in Whitley Bay.
