NHS HEALTH CHECKS

NHS Health checks are offered to people considered most at risk and who are  aged between 40 and 74 once every five years by letter of invitation only. The check is to assess your risk of developing heart disease, stroke, kidney disease or diabetes.

The surgery will routinely invite eligible patients to attend for an NHS Health Check when we are running the campaign. NHS Health Checks are undertaken by the surgery on behalf of the Public Health Department of North Tyneside Council. Letters go to patients during April to November .

The Practice will automatically invite all those we feel are most at risk but are limited by numbers set by Public Health
