When the surgery is closed
When we are closed, you can still get medical advice and support. Call 111 — the free NHS urgent medical helpline — any time, day or night, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Trained advisers and clinicians will help you decide what care you need and where to go.

You can also visit the North Tyneside Urgent Care Centre at North Tyneside General Hospital, open 8am to midnight, 7 days a week — no appointment needed. Alternatively, the Newcastle Hospitals Walk-in Centre on Westgate Road is open 8am to 8pm every day (telephone 0191 282 3000).
