NHS HEALTH CHECKS
NHS Health checks are offered to people aged between 40 and 74 once every five years by letter of invitation only. The check is to assess your risk of developing heart disease, stroke, kidney disease or diabetes.
The surgery will routinely invite eligible patients to attend for an NHS Health Check when we are running the campaign. NHS Health Checks are undertaken by the surgery on behalf of the Public Health Department of North Tyneside Council. Letters go to patients during July to November and all the health checks must be undertaken by 31 March of any given year.
Update April 2017
- We have not commenced this years campaign for NHS Health checks but letters of invitation will be sent to eligible patients if we do start during 2017/2018.
